Painting Pebbledash.

Painting pebbledash can be painstaking, slow, tiresome and messy. We have developed a pebbledash painting service second to none! With most houses completed in around 2 days using large quantities of paint, totally even coverage and no more stone chippings on the floor.

What is pebbledash?
Pebbledash is a very common surface used to finish houses, with many different kinds of decorative finishes from spa dash to pea gravel. Although hard wearing and low maintenance in time it will show its age, either by dirt build up or balding (loss of stones).

The ProblemPainting PebbledashPainting Pebbledash
To replace pebbledash can be extremely expensive and messy. Another solution is to paint the pebbledash. The problem with painting this surface is the fact that the pebbles will probably not be 100% securely fixed to the wall (you may have noticed stones on the ground after heavy rain/strong winds). This means that when you try and paint the pebbledash some will inevitably fall off during the painting process. These will drop to the floor or hit a window etc, and because they are covered in paint, make a very hard to clean mess. Another factor is the time it takes to paint this surface. 1 coat of paint is never enough to cover pebbledash and when applied by brush or roller you will probably need at least 3 coats to get close to a satisfactory finish. A small 3 bed semi with a sound surface can take up to 2 months to achieve, this, along with 150lts or more of good quality masonry paint. Should you hire a local painter and decorator to do this for you. The cost, even if they only charge you £50 per day, could be £2,000 (40 days labour) plus £750 for the paint (15 X 10lts at £50) a total cost of £2,750.

Our solution for painting pebbledash.
Because we specialize in exteriors and nothing else, we buy the paint in bulk and pass on the savings to you. Also we have perfected painting pebbledash and can paint a typical 3 bed semi in around 1 to 2 days yet can apply 250 to 300lts of paint (250lts of good quality masonry paint would cost you £1,250 at £50 per 10lts). Yet we can paint an average 3 bed semi for a total price of around £1,500 all inclusive. This means more of you're money is spent on the paint and a lot less on the labour. It's the paint that will protect your house, not the labour.
